1. General Sales Questions

What are your pricing plans?
Our pricing plans allow you to get up and running with a professional website easily. Either pay a lower setup fee or a lower hosting charge.

You get a customised website based on one of our professional designs. Your website is hosted with us on super fast reliable servers. In other words you get a complete working website specifically designed for you.

How is your setup so cheap?
Our Standard Setup Fee starts from $995 Setup, as most sites take about 2-3 days in development time. This is plan 3.

If you are on Plan 1 or Plan 2 what we are doing is allowing you to setup a website at minimal setup cost , but you pay a higher ongoing cost.

How often do I get billed?
Billing is every 3 months in advance, this covers your site hosting for the next 3 months. You can cancel your site at the end of any of these 3 months periods. Plan 3, ongoing costs are paid yearly.
How do I cancel my site?
Simply let us know that you do not want to continue with your site at the end of your current 3 months hosting period..
What do you mean by no contracts?
Your not tied into any contract.  just let us know that you no longer need the website and we will stop billing you for your ongoing costs!
Will the price go up?
We have a 5 year guarantee that your hosting plan price will not increase.
I have a friend who likes this offer, what if I refer them?
We give you one months free hosting for any signup’s your refer. ie Refer 2 friends and if they signup and get a website with us you will receive one month free for each friend, that’s 2 free months for you!
What if I want to make changes to my website?
We build your site with its own admin section. Allowing access to all the page content and can add / modify pages when you want, free of charge.
What if I want a website based on another design I have seen?

Please contact us with your requirements and we can give you a quote on this different design.

Can my website be hosted elsewhere?

If you are on Plan 3 your website can be moved and hosted on another server if wanted. If you are on one of our reduced setup cost plans ( Plan 1 or Plan 2 ) your website must be hosted on our server.

Can I change Plans?

YES, If you want to change to a higher plan with cheaper ongoing costs, you simply pay the extra setup fee difference between the Plans.

Can I move my domain name if I no longer host with you?

Yes, you remain the legal owner of the domain name you register with us. The name can be moved or transferred.

FAQ Web Design Getting Started

Selecting your design layout

View the various design layouts we have on the industry page. Remember the example designs are just samples, the final design will be customised to your colours/ logo and images.

If you can’t choose don’t worry we will choose for you or help you choose. simply let us know what design you like, what colours you would prefer and we will do the rest.

What do I need to have ready for my website to be built?

The more you can give us the better we can make your site, if you have good quality photos the site will always look better, if you don’t have any images, we can use stock images to help represent your company profile.

What we need is:

  • Any photos, images, logo’s and colours you need to make your site personal. We then do a site mockup. If you do not have images etc, we can come up with suitable ones and place in site.
  • You can start to plan your site, planning your page content and page menu names. Do this in a word document while we are designing your website. Any extra images can be gathered as well. Then when we send you your username and password to your admin area, you can then login and get to work.

Content is changeable by yourself from within your admin area. You can add/delete/modify content 24/7. We will add in the first 5 pages of content for you. Any more you simply login to your admin area and cut and paste the content in. It’s a simple process and we are always here to help you if you have any problems/questions.

Adding content to my website

CMS is a Content Management System we have setup so you can manage your website content. You can login from any PC connected to the internet and make changes to your website via a username and password we supply.

Just some of the benefits of this are:

How many pages can I place in my website?

Unlimited! We will place in up to 5 pages for you when we setup your site.

You have an admin area where you can login anytime and add as many pages as you want. We are always here to help you with any questions.

Domains / Emails /Hosting

Registering a domain name?

It is a good idea to register a unique website address or domain name. e.g. www.yoursite.com.au. There is a regular fee paid to register or renew your domain name. We charge $75 for every two years of registration. All websites must have a registered domain name, you can BYO or register a domain with us.

I already have a domain name, can I still get a Webeasy website?

Yes. We’ll will work with you to get your domain name pointing to our server. (It’s a very easy process.)

How many pages can I place in my website?

p>Unlimited! We will place in up to 5 pages for you when we setup your site.

You have an admin area where you can login anytime and add as many pages as you want. We are always here to help you with any questions.

Can I transfer my domain name so everything is in one place?

Yes. It’s a simple process we can work with you to complete. The process is free, when your domain comes up for renewal you will be billed from us

Do I own my domain name if I register it with Webeasy?

Yes. You will remain the legal owner of the domain name you register with us.

Can I move my domain name if I no longer host with Qualitysites?

You will remain the legal owner of the domain name you register with us. The name can be moved or transferred. However your website cannot be moved.

How do I access my emails?

Access your emails via webmail by logging in to yoursite.com.au/webmail, from any Internet browser at any time. Or you can also set up your email software (e.g. Outlook) to receive emails directly into your inbox. This can be alongside any personal email accounts you currently receive e.g. optus or bigpond. We can also set up a forwarder to go to any exising email account you wish to keep running

What is hosting and why do I need it?

Hosting is the space you rent on a server to park your website so it can be found on the world wide web.

Can my website be hosted elsewhere?

If you are on Plan 3 your website can be moved and hosted on another server if wanted. When you are on one of our reduced setup cost plans ( Plan 1 or Plan 2 ) your website must be hosted on our server.

What's the difference between hosting and domain registration?

Hosting is the space you rent on a server to make your site available online, the domain is the website address.

Where are your servers?

Webeasy websites are hosted on our own servers in a secure data centre in Brisbane (AU).

Email Problems

I cannot connect to my emails or my website?

If you find you cannot connect to your website and emails ( but you can connect to other websites ) the server may have locked your IP from access.

This can happen if you try to login to your emails with the incorrect password too many times. ( Server thinks you are spam so locks you out )

SOLUTION: Please go to this website.

Record the ip address at the top of that page and send this ip with your support ticket, so we can add your IP address to unblock list.

I think my emails have gone over quota?

When using outlook to check your emails, it is best if you remove messages off server once you have downloaded so you dont have issues with running over quota.

I want to check my emails on internet, use webmail

If you want to check your emails on any computer with internet please add the word   (  /webmail  )   on the end of your domain.

ie yourfulldomain/webmail

Your user name is full email address.

We find SquirrelMail the best one to use once you login.

How do I change my email password or setup forwarders?

When you login to webmail following the about instructions, you will see at bottom of page a place to change passwords/forwarders etc.

Hosting Problems

I cannot connect to my website or any other website?

If you find you cannot connect to your website or any other websites then your internet connection may be down. Please contact your service provider.

I cannot connect to my website only?

If you find you cannot connect to your website and emails ( but you can connect to other websites ) the server may have locked your IP from access.

Website Backup Policy

Webeasy does not offer redundant or mirrored backups. Webeasy will run courtesy backups at our discretion.

Clients are responsible for saving the content of there website.

We recommend all content on your webpages are saved in a word document.

Each Client is responsible for their own backup and backup policies. Webeasy is not responsible for keeping backups of client files.

Note: Before you think of leaving us or not joining because of our backups policy, please note that this is standard web host policy and almost every hosting company will have it in place, unless you specifically purchase a backup plan. The reason for this is legal not laziness.

We do make backups of the whole server but accessing individual accounts and restoring them is time consuming so may cost additional, and are not guaranteed.

When we first setup your website you are entitled to a free 15 minute phone call showing you how to use your admin area ( there are also help videos below you can watch at anytime )

If you need help with updates or just want us to do it for you after this then you can purchase one of our support and maintenance bundles, please see below for costs and details.

How much is a Support and Maintenance Bundle?

You have access to our videos and help section on how to make changes to your website content.

After we setup your website you are entitled to a FREE 15 min phone call if needed to help you get familiar with your admin area.

If you need future help and support after this with making your website changes, or find it all a bit too complex and time consuming, or just want someone else to do it all for you, you can purchase one of our support and Maintenance Bundles.

Our support services are available in 3 hr increments and are allocated in minimum 30 minute time intervals. You have a full 12 months from the date of purchase to use up the bundle.

3 hour bundle – $180 ( You get 6 slots of 30 minutes each)

If you want us to add extra pages to your website for you, it is only $60 a page which includes placing 2 images in if wanted.

If you have changes you feel are quite large, please email us first for a price.

Here we show you how to get up to speed quickly when using your admin area.

It is a great feature, and with a little practice, you will find you have complete control over your website. Your site can grow with your business as you add in more content and keep your site fresh! It is best to create a few dummy pages and play around with the page builder features so you get used to how it works.

NOTE: Some clients would simply prefer us to make changes for them. ( ie find it technical or they are just time poor ) We are fast at what we do and find 2-3 small changes can be done for only $50 – $100, so please email us if you want us to make chanages for you.

How to change Home page slider text or image

To get all the great functionality of your quality home page slider ( fading images/text positioning etc) the slider is professionally built by one of our development team. Many clients simply get us to make changes when they want to update slider, as most only change a few times a year. The average cost of changes to slider wording etc is only $60 a slide for our developers time. ( for more involued changes contact us for price ) If you want to make changes to home page slider then please contact us. If you want to change slider text or slider images your self please login to admin area and go to:

  • revolution slider ( menu on left )
  • then click EDIT SLIDES
  • you will then see all slides within the slider
  • click EDIT SLIDE on the one you want to change
  • To change image: go to IMAGE BG and click CHANGE IMAGE ( make sure image is correct size before uploading – 1400px wide )
  • To change Text on slide: Click on text you want to change then under Layer General Parameters you will see text to change.
  • Go to Bottom of page and UPDATE SLIDE once changes made.

How to make changes to home page sections.

Go to pages and edit home page. Scroll down and you will see the different page sections on home page. Simply find the section you want to change, and click the settings icon ( 3 little lines ) . The settings for this section will pop up, and you can make changes then.

Adding/removing pages

With your site pages you can delete/add more pages

  • Click on pages on the left menu
  • ADD A PAGE: click on Add Page tab( Fill in the data, and a new page is added to menu )
  • EDIT PAGE: When you hover over the pages you will see a EDIT tab appear. Make changes and click PUBLISH TAB on right side once ready
  • SWITCH PAGE OFF: If you want to hide a page ( but not delete it ) on to Appearance/Menu tab. Remove page from menu. You can always add page to menu again later.
  • DELETE PAGE: When you hover over pages you will see a delete option ( be careful once its gone, its GONE )

ADDING CONTENT: you can add content directly into box or use the page builder tab.

If you use page builder you have a lot more options ie. features plus ways of displaying you data, see the first tab in this section on how to use PAGE BUILDER”

Link to another website

When you want to add a link to another site or one of your other pages

  1. When editing a page, write the text you want to be the link ie domain.com.au on the page you want link to appear.
  2. Click on the small icon that looks like a linked chain
  3. When the box pops up, in the URL field type where you want the link to go to ie. www.domain.com.au
  4. Click ADD LINK, and thats it you have created a link to an external site.
  5. Note: If you want to link to another page in your site , when the box pops up select a page instead of writing a URL.
Copying and pasting your content from word into your site page

When you copy directly from MS word into your page, sometimes you bring along extra formatting that does not show up well on your page. It is best to copy the text into NOTEPAD first then paste from there

MENU - How to change menu order or page names

Login to admin area and go to Appearance / Menus.

Change Menu Order: Simply move the boxes around, indenting a box will make it a submenu.

Change Menu Name: Click on a Box and change the Navigation Label Name.

4. SEO: search engine optimisation

Is my site SEO friendly?

When we build your website we consider SEO. We use wordpress CMS because it is a good platform for SEO

How do I get to first page of google?

There is never a guaranteed to get on first page of google ( unless you Pay For Google Adwords) but below are some tips to get you started. I always say do the below first, and after a few months if you are still not where you want, it is best to contact a company that specialize in SEO. There are 100’s of them and they are not cheap, as everyone wants to get on first page, so generally you have to pay premium to get up their.

Tip1: Keep your content fresh?

Google loves fresh new content. Keep your content fresh, consider setting up a BLOG with regular great new content, or at least add new content when you can.

Tip2: Make sure you have keywords!

When considering your wording for website, make sure you include ” the keywords people would type in google to find your services” as many times as possible in your website pages…….ie if you are a gold coast plumber…….make sure gold coast plumber is on all pages ( including suburbs may also help if much of your work comes from close by suburbs ) Include in page headings/text/footers/image tags.

Tip3: Get some links!

Google likes it when you link to relevant websites but especially loves high-ranking websites backlinking to your site, so include your domain name on any other listings you have online. ie gumtree, directories etc

Tip4: Social Media and Video!

Google like video and social media. Setup a facebook page and also embed some relevant youtube videos into your website

Tip5: It's an on going process!

Good SE0 is on-going with your website, it cannot just be done once and forgotten. You have to make a continual effort if you want good ranking in google. You can pay companies to keep at it or you can make an effort to research and keep on top of it yourself.
